This is a famous breakfast recipe for south indians.
Ingredients:
Oil - 2 tblspn
Mustard Seeds - 1
tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Curry leaves a sprig
Onion - 1 medium
chopped
Green chilli - 2
chopped
Ginger - 1 tsp
chopped
Sooji - 1 cup
Water - 1 3/4 cup
Curd - 2 tblspn
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for
garnishing
Method:
Heat oil in a pan,
add mustard, urad dal, asafoetida and curry leaves.
Add onions, ginger
and chillies and mix well.
Add in sooji and
roast it.
Add in boiling water
and curd and salt and mix well.
Simmer covered for 5
mins or so.
Add coriander leaves
and mix well.
Serve.
