வெங்காய சட்னி ரெசிபி - ONION CHUTNEY RECIPE - Vengaya Chutney Recipe


Ingredients:

Oil - 1 tsp + 1 tsp
Chana Dal - 1 tblspn
Coriander Seeds - 2 tsp
Garlic - 4 cloves peeled
Dry Red Chilli - 3
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Tamarind a small piece
Onion - 1 large chopped
Jaggery - 1 tsp
Salt to taste

For Seasoning:
Oil - 1 tblspn
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves a sprig

Method:

Heat oil in a pan, add all the roasting ingredients and fry for a min.

Add onions and cook for couple of mins.

Add salt and jaggery and mix well. Cool this well and take it in a blender. Puree till smooth.

Now in the same pan, add oil and crackle mustard and curryleaves. Add chutney back in, add water as needed and mix well.

Serve with idli.
